Facilities:

Please note that sessions are completely outdoors and will go ahead in most weathers, except for storms/high winds or if it's unsafe to travel. A campfire and tarp shelter are provided for warmth. Water, snacks, campfire cooking, and hot drinks also provided. For colder months, please wear layers and bring waterproofs, hats and gloves. For warmer months please wear sunhats and sun cream. Waterproof mats are provided for seating, please feel free to bring your own camping chair or blankets for extra comfort.

We have a small site for our use, booked through Bradford Council, though St Ives is a public woodland so please be aware there will be dogs, cyclists, horses, and members of the public in the area.

There are no toilet or hand washing facilities on site. I provide hand sanitiser gel, hand wipes, tissues, and a First Aid kit. The nearest public toilet facilities are by the adventure playground in the centre of St Ives. The Ivy Kitchen also has toilets for customers, located on the main road through the estate. Please try to visit the toilets before the session. I cannot escort children to public toilets during the session.

Steps leading up to Stammer in the Woods

Parking & Directions:

Please enter St Ives Estate via the Keighley Road entrance. This is the closest entrance to our Stammer in the Woods base camp. As you pull into this entrance there are some free parking lay-bys on either side of the road (limited to 2 hours). These can become full quickly so I would suggest allowing enough time in case you need to park further along the road by the Coppice Pond and walk back to the base camp. Please note that there are parking meters by the Coppice Pond, these spaces are not free.

To find base camp, look for the St Ives information sign and map, located by the free parking lay-bys and just a few yards along from the Keighley Road entrance. To the left of the information sign you will see a set of steps. Please head up the steps and you will find us a short distance along the path. we will be on your left hand side and across the small stream. There will be some bunting wrapped around a tree on the path to show you where we are! The What 3 Words location for our base camp is mass.evenly.adhesive
